About Crystal Bourque
Crystal was born Toronto, Ontario. She fell in love with reading at an early age, and was heavily influenced by children’s classics like James and the Giant Peach, The Chronicles of Narnia, and The Fairy Rebel.
Music, however, became her passion. For over a decade, she dedicated the majority of her daily life, training to become a classical singer. Writing was a secret she preferred to keep to herself. When no one was watching, she would spend her free time, typing away on a keyboard.
While university was a wonderful experience, it taught her that singing wasn’t what she really wanted. She preferred daydreaming instead.
At the urging of her mother, who reminded her that it is possible to make a living daydreaming, Crystal searched for inspiration in the form of a continuing education writing course at, George Brown College. Two short courses later, her first short was story published.
Encouraged by this success, in the winter of 2013, Crystal decided to take her writing to the next level. She was accepted into the Humber College’s Author Correspondence program. Through this course, she completed the first novel in The Book of Eve Series, Eve’s Return.
In the summer of 2013, her publishing company, Everything’s Temporary was born.
Crystal currently resides in a tiny apartment with her husband, Andrew Gaudet. Together, they co-host, Goldilocks and the Three Cares, a podcast where they discuss what’s too hot, too cold, and just right about a direct published novel.
